Fair Use Policy (Email & SMS)

DetailerBase includes reasonable email and SMS sending as part of the Service (and SMS may require a paid add-on and approval). To protect recipients and keep deliverability strong, we apply fair use controls.

What "fair use" means

Fair use means you use communications features for legitimate customer service and operational messaging related to your business (e.g., confirmations, reminders, invoices, customer updates), not as a bulk marketing blast tool.

What we do to prevent abuse

We may apply:

  • send-rate throttling,
  • deduplication (blocking repeated identical sends),
  • quiet hours,
  • consent enforcement and opt-out enforcement,
  • temporary blocks if unusual patterns are detected.

If you exceed fair use

We may:

  • pause sending,
  • require you to adjust automations/templates,
  • require additional verification or a manual review,
  • in serious cases, disable messaging or terminate accounts.

Our fair use limits are subject to change as the Service evolves to better protect our users and their customers.
